Longtime friends Justin Johnson and Michael Krintz had vision to create a professional, dependable and creative landscape design company dedicated to putting customers first and improving their lifestyles by improving their surroundings.
Now, well over 1,000 satisfied customers later, Proscapes LLC has a full fleet of service trucks, employees over a dozen full time employees and numerous part time employees. It is quite a difference from the first summer boasting a pickup truck, some hand tools and the willingness to do a lot of hard work.
Because we are building our company to last (just like our projects), we are pleased to say the growth continues.
Michael Krintz – Co-Founder
Michael grew up in the farming community of rural Sauk County. With a strong background in farming, trucking and construction, Michael was more than prepared for the hard work and demands of the landscaping industry. Michael is Proscape’s in house “Pond Expert” and focuses his efforts on all of the pond calls and larger outdoor living design consultations. Michael resides in Lodi with his girlfriend Christine, and their daughter Macelyn.
Justin Johnson – Co-Founder – Retired
Justin also grew up in Sauk County and attended the University of Wisconsin in Platteville for building construction management. Justin, having years of experience in large and small landscape construction companies, was the teacher and trainer for all of valuable employees at Proscapes LLC.
In the Fall of 2013, Co-Owner Justin T. Johnson made a life changing decision due to health and personal reasons and left the company, saying goodbye to company he help build. Justin and Michael remain very good friends and finds time to stop by the shop and some jobsites nearly weekly. Justin lives near Sauk City with his wife Tammy and their daughter Allison.
Allen Neverdahl – Foreman
Allen has been on the Proscapes team since 2002. We pride ourselves on being a family owned and operated business, and Allen, as Michael’s cousin, is one of the best examples of that. He was the first person Proscapes LLC pu on the payroll and we have never looked back. Allen teaches the new personnel proper landscape techniques and is responsible for all of the pond service, lighting repair, and small brick repair calls.
Chad Zimmerman – Foreman
Starting in the spring of 2012, with an eye for detail and goal of perfection, Chad is a perfect addition to the Proscapes LLC team. As Michael’s other cousin, shows again Proscapes is committed to family and to delivering the best landscaping services in the Madison area.
Lance Smith – Foreman
Lance joined Proscapes LLC in 2006. His his farming background and strong work ethic keeps projects on track for everyone’s benefit – crew and customers alike. He has a great ability to keep the crew running smoothly every day. (We can’t seem to find a piece of equipment that he can’t run.)
The Rest Are The Best
All of our seasonal and part time employees are invaluable to us. Watching our crews work together is often like watching a well-oiled machine. We are happy to say we cannot imagine having a better crew to work with.
Courtesies We Extend
When we are on a job it means we are at our customer’s home. We try to treat people as we would like to be treated ourselves. Below are a couple of things we do to ensure project proceed as well as possible. We are committed to –
- No smoking on our job sites
- No loud vulgar music
- No vulgar language
- Company uniforms worn at all times so you know who we are
- Arriving on time
- Having a clean work site
- Finishing on schedule
- Having our project come in under budget (typically)
- Our #1 goal is to delight our clients with beautiful and long lasting finished projects.
‘I Built That’
One common thread connecting all of your staff is the reason we all like working at Proscapes. Ask any Proscapes employee why they like working here, and the response everyone will share is “being able to look back and say I built that”. Hearing a happy customer and say how impressed they are with the completed project is an incredible reward. Responses from customers make this more than a job. This makes what we do a career we are all passionate about.
A Team Approach – We Are Always Looking For Great Additions
What we do requires great teamwork and above all trust. To help keep a cohesive feel with our team we do take company trips every year and have company outings. This is a family after all.
